Control strategy for direct voltage and frequency stability enhancement in HVAC/HVDC grids

Direct voltage fluctuations due to the presence of relatively large DC reactors (as an essential part HVDC breakers), lack inertia, and unwanted frequency in AC side grids, have major consequences on stability HVAC/HVDC grids. The use Power System Stabilizer (DC-PSS) can damp eliminate oscillations caused by reactors. However, DC-PSS cannot address issues inertia fluctuations. A method improve is proposed here that operate well with droop controller, does not interfere power-sharing interact any these elements. Since a controller grids associates power direct voltage, eliminating severe peaks. Moreover, this change level entire system, so there no need set-points controllers. In addition, all parameters controllers are tuned intelligent algorithm, Participation factor (PF) scheme used find proper placement controller.
